Some facts about Pack 895's 2022 Scouting for Food Project:
Greetings from your Cub Master! Last year we started going through the points of the Scout Law together, but we only made it through the first five. The next two points of the Scout Law are a scout is Obedient and Cheerful. Now you may think these are two completely separate concepts, but I think true obedience comes from a cheerful heart. The essence of obedience is respect. Even as adults we can demonstrate the essence of obedience by honoring the ideas of others and showing others we value them by taking the time to listen. Another way we can demonstrate the essence of obedience in our technology driven culture is to simply put down our phones and be present. I value the limited time I get to spend with each and every one of you in Pack 895. Let's make the most of our time together!
Regards, Bryan McCarty Cub Master, Pack 895
