Youth Protection Training (YPT) is a 72 minute online course that discusses how we as adults can help protect all the youth and adults in our care from sexual predators, bullies and unsafe environments. This course is resumable for your convenience so it can be completed it in more than one sitting. This training is required of ALL Adult volunteers and needs to be renewed every two years. As a Pack we have made the decision that this training is so important that we would like ALL ADULTS in the pack to take it. It’s important for you to know what steps we are taking to make sure your family is safe as well as invite you to take those steps with us. Once you complete YPT you can email a copy to Carla or I. Carla Hinz for more information or if you have any questions. Please help us keep all in our care feel safe and secure and complete your YPT today! If you have further questions regarding YPT and it’s process, please contact our epic Pack Trainer, Carla Hinz.
Yours in Scouting, Jessica McCarty Pack 895, Committee Chair One of the 12 points of the Scout Law says that a Scout is THRIFTY. The BSA elaborates to say “Work to pay your own way. Try not to be wasteful. Use time, food, supplies, and natural resources wisely.” We strive to be a good example of this as a pack.
Greetings from your Cub Master! I am so excited for the year ahead!! I have three kids in the pack this year; two are Webelos nearing the end of their Cub Scout journey ready to move on to Scouts BSA, and the youngest is a Tiger just getting started on his adventures. I have enjoyed getting to know so many wonderful people through scouting over the past few years, and I look forward to meeting even more new people in the years to come. This reminds me of the next three points of the Scout Law for us to review; a scout is Friendly, Courteous, and Kind. Each of these character traits reflects the way we relate to others by putting others before ourselves. I encourage you to strive to brighten someone's day today. Put a smile on their face. As my wife Jessica would say, tell someone you love them and you're happy they were born! Thank you for joining Pack 895 on your scouting adventure. It's my pleasure to know you!
Regards, Bryan McCarty Pack 895, Cub Master |
